One of the Best Gifts for a Bereaved Parent December 24, 2013 Posted in Grief, holidays This is right on target. So many people seem to forget. I know they haven’t. Maybe they think it is too painful for me. Maybe it is because it is so painful for them. But it is a joy to speak my child’s name and share memories of good times. I haven’t a child, but I lost my mother. And I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes I ask my children why they don’t talk about Nana. My oldest sometimes looks uncomfortable when I mention her. I want people to talk about her! I want her remembered. I know exactly how you feel!
